driftwood revisited

We started the new year with a hike on Dungeness Spit, a popular local natural feature within the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge.

The spit extends five miles to a lighthouse, so there is plenty of hiking available.

The cloud-shrouded mountain behind the lighthouse is Mount Baker.

Many people had the same idea- it's a good spot for a holiday walk.

And it's a great place to see driftwood.  Click here to see M's painting of some people sitting on a big driftlog.

What a day you've illustrated, I feel I have traveled there with you both.
