heceta head light

Here is an early winter view of this scenic oregon coast landmark, taken after a big storm a little over a year ago.  The building to the right in the photograph was the residence of assistant light keepers and their families.  It is now a bed and breakfast.  Visitors should be aware: it is reputed to be haunted.

We were just lucky to be in the right place at the right time for this image.

It had just stopped snowing and was starting to clear and get colder. We were trying to get home and the coast had less snow than the interstate.
