snow bird

A local snow bird, not the kind who winters in Florida, takes his share of today's weather.  The garden sculpture was created by Sequim artist Dana Hyde.

Here is a view of the approaching storm, taken near the head of Sequim Bay three days ago.

More snow is on the way!

Nicely balanced composition in the cloud photograph.

Thanks! I'm glad you think it works, considering the horizon is just about right in the center. It seems the composition rules were made to be broken, at least occasionally.

There again, your photos work so well in a series of triangles... this time long, horizontal ones. Such tension in the impending storm leering at your quiet scene!

Thanks. Yes, long triangles just seem to work really well. Plus, once again I was drawn to the dramatic cloudscape.
