desert afternoon

In late afternoon in the Anza-Borrego desert floor, the shadows start to lengthen.  The ocotillos stand above the surrounding vegetation.

Fascinating to see how the light changes the palette over the course of the day.

Thanks! It was quite striking. And of course when the sun is lower and the light more interesting, it changes pretty quickly!
