painted hills

I photographed these colorful hills on a recent visit to the Painted Hills unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, in central Oregon.

Thanks, Michael. It was a beautiful day and it's a fascinating area. Had a little help of course, from a polarizing filter, for that dramatic landscape look.
