Sunrise on the Big Island's Hamakua coast, north of Hilo, as seen from a hydrographic survey vessel. This is a color slide from the '80s, recently scanned.
It was a pretty nice day, as I recall. This coast is exposed when the trade winds blow, which is most of the time.
