cabin and woods

A scene from the Bulis Forest Preserve, where my painting from last Monday was done.

Nice composition- with those shadows leading to the door. The forest looks so silvery and timeless in B&W.

Thank you. It was the light and shadow patterns on the grasses that drew me to this scene.

We painted again here today. with alternating overcast and sunny moments...and then just as we were packing up...pitterpatts of rain.
And yes, timeless is the word for the b&w isn't it? those old old sepia and b&w photos...they seem to preserve memories more sharply, perhaps our memories are more linear, shaded. Great to see you both Monday last.

Hi, Lindy! I'm glad the weather cooperated yesterday, tho changing light is always a challenge. The preserve is such a great place- sorry we missed you.
