flowering pear trees

Here is another scene from a sunny morning (last Monday) at the Bulis Preserve near Port Townsend, Washington.

The B&W treatment of these trees give the photo an intense drama. Some how they feel like a group of ballet dancers caught in a stance before they flow off in a grande jete.

I really like being able to see these in black and white. I agree with Elsbeth that the drama is heightened; they get more attention than when everything is in color.

Thank you both. I think, with some images, going to b&w is an illustration of the "less is more" principle.
