gull and cormorants

We walked on the beach at the end of Miller Peninsula to Travis Spit this afternoon.  It was a beautiful day to look out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca.  This view is toward Protection Island, which is near Diamond Point.

Nice photograph! The Strait is so calm, and the sweeping arc of the beach to Protection and Whidbey Island makes it seem even more peaceful.
