tide flats

This image was taken at the head of Sequim Bay at low tide, looking north toward the mouth of the bay.  The remains of old foundation piling guard the foreground.

I always seem to anthropomorphize inanimate objects in paintings and photos. Those pylons are standing, quietly summoning the waters to return.

Elsbeth- I like your interpretation. It evokes a very mystical Celtic imagery, which is what I had in mind with this scene.
